Chip & Bib Info:
The race kit contains your race bib, which comes complete with an integrated disposable race-timing chip. The chip does not need to be activated, nor does it need to be handed in at the end of the race. Your bib should be attached to the chest of your shirt using the safety pins provided.  Please do not alter the bib in any way. Please display the bib prominently on your front. You must wear your bib / chip or you will not be timed. Timing and scoring is determined using your chip so be sure to pass the chip mats at the start and finish line in order to be eligible for a finishing time.

7:00 a.m. Start for 21km race.
9:00 a.m. Mass Start for both 5km and 10km races.

Race Rules & Restrictions:
This event has a competitive element and there will be Walking Judges patrolling the racecourse to enforce the “Common Sense Walking Rules”.  Please refer to the leaflet for a full description of these rules.

While this is a competitive event, we recognize that there are many walkers who will be competing for fun or simply to support our cause. To ensure that this event is successful for all walkers, we would ask all participants to respect the following requests:

* No dogs or strollers permitted on the racecourse.
• Slower walkers keep right to allow faster competitive walkers to pass on the left.
• At the start of each event we request that faster competitive walkers position themselves at the front with slower or leisure walkers toward the rear.

This event could not take place without the dedication of our volunteers who are available should you have any questions or require assistance.  Volunteers can be identified by their black t-shirts printed with the Move Your Body Change Your Mind slogan.

Facilities in the park will be available on Race Day.  Portable facilities will also be available in the park and at the water stations along the route (see route map on display at Expo, website and in race kit bag).

Ample parking will be available on race day at the following locations:
• Parking lot adjacent to Waterloo Public Square (10 min walk to start/finish area in Waterloo Park

• Parking lot of Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex, 100 Father David Bauer Dr. (5 min walk to start/finish area in Waterloo Park)

Special Thanks:
The Minds In Motion Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved in this event. Countless people have donated their time, services, money or supplies and we thank them all, for without each and everyone one of them, this event could not  take place. Words alone cannot express our gratitude for their overwhelming support and generosity.
